It’s that time of the year again! How many of you will actually go out in the dark and cold to fight your way through the crowds and score the best deal possible on the item your child wants most for Christmas morning? Yeah, me too. Even if I don’t buy a single thing, it just feels wrong to miss the chaos. Last year, I was sick and couldn’t go. I felt it. I ached to go out (as well as aching from a cold). It kicks off the holiday season for me. Yes, there are a ton of people wanting the same little gadget that the stores have very limited supplies of. Yes, I lose sleep. Yes, there are always a few bad apples in the day. However, I have noticed over the last few years that there is also a shopper’s camaraderie for those few hours and the majority of people are in a festive mood… and I actually have fun!
So with that said, I plan to be out shopping with all the other fools in the wee hours of Friday morning. Which means that I will be doing things a little different for my Black Friday shoppers (mainly because I do not want to police my email that day!). You may purchase your Black Friday gift certificate right here from this blog post. You will simply click on the little yellow “buy now” button below. It will take you to a PayPal screen where you can complete your purchase with a credit card, debit card, personal check, or your PayPal account.
Easy peasy. Christmas shopping for that hard to buy for person on your list = DONE! Or just use the certificate for your own family session in 2012. 
There are three options this year:
1 – a session with a beautiful 5×7 custom designed photo album and a hi-res disc of images $350 (retail value – $800)
2 – a session with a hi-res disc of images $275 (retail value – $550)
3 – a session with a beautiful 5×7 custom designed photo album $275 (retail value – $400)
There are only 10 of each gift certificates available. Sessions must be used before October 5, 2012. Sessions are for up to 5 people. May be purchased to use for a boudoir session (sorry, not applicable for boudoir marathons). All regular session policies are in effect.

I am frequently (usually in a very panicked voice) asked “What should we wear?!” in reference to family portrait sessions. I always tell my clients that it’s really up to them and what their family feels comfortable in. Which inevitably results in my lovely clients all pushing the easy button… white or black shirts, denim and flip flops for all! Oh dear. lol
So I thought it would be fun to have a revolving set of inspiration for upcoming photo sessions. 
This week, I’m focusing on family portraits as I’ve gotten several calls and messages about the upcoming fall photo season. This week’s W2WW (What to Wear Wednesday) would also make for a super fun boy/girl outfit combo for an engagement session!
I encourage you to step outside of the boring matchy-matchy (and white shirt/jeans) combo and seek out lots of fun colors and textures for your next photo session. What you wear can make or break your images. Take your upcoming photo session to the next level and show off your family’s killer style!
